Kindness is My Jam
October 26
Do you want to show your child that they possess a Kindness superpower?
Emily Hayes introduces the best social-emotional learning (SEL) book for raising children who are understanding and empathetic.
This colorful story with soothing rhymes and bright illustrations will help illustrate how your child can practice kindness at home, at school, in the store, and on the playground.
With the relatable situations, your child will have more care for those around them, practice inclusion and diversity, and display more empathy.
Thank you to Lisa Dunlap for sponsoring this book!
Being kind is something that is instilled and learned as we grow as individuals. Sometimes, no matter what our age is, reading how this virtue makes such a difference to those around us is all that it takes to get us back into the practice of thinking kind thoughts and acting on them by being kind.
Reading has so many benefits ... especially at a young age. With our rainbow baby, Ruby, we read 1-2 books every single night. She LOVES books. As she has grown, it has been something I have longed to have been able to share with our sweet Willow.
This complimentary "tour" simply is to read a book about kindness each night in my book nook. To have the resources to share with your "littles" that one act of kindness goes a long way.
I have compiled a list of all the books we are going to read - along with links to Amazon if you want to purchase any to have on hand to follow along on certain nights.
Because of the kindness of others, I was able to collect all 31 books donated by Be Like The Willow Movement followers. Such a WONDERFUL testament to our group and the people who support it. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
XO, Leslie Kay
